Possibly some of the best, pure pink bourbon lots we've tasted this year: this is a very complex and juicy lot, with effervescent qualities and a nuanced malic and citric acidity. Fruit profile is tropical, but clean and balanced.
Elías Roa is a longtime coffee producer, originally from Acevedo, Huila. He still maintains a few coffee farms there but Finca Tamaná in El Pital has become the crown jewel. It's there he has honed his craft with more precise processing and better drying.
He now cultivates a wide range of varieties including some older stock heirlooms and even
some African varieties. His immediate family are mostly involved in coffee in some way.
Bellanid, his wife, is the greatest of hostesses. His daughters, Yurany and Derlin, and son-in-law, Diego Campos (former barista champion of Colombia) help manage the farm as well as their own plot in La Plata.

All our roasted coffees are run through an AI-powered optical sorter. This extra step ensures that you receive only the most nutrient-dense, flavorful coffees from each lot. The machine is also capable of removing any foreign objects (corn, metals, rope, to name a few) from the rest of the coffees.
The higher the percentage, the more coffee is being removed in order to achieve a truly pristine product. We liken this to how sake-makers "polish" during production in order to reach a higher-quality product.
Nothing goes to waste: the rejected coffees are re-roasted and sold to local markets.

Pink Bourbon
Despite it's name, Pink Bourbon is closer to Ethiopian Landrace variety than it is to Red or Yellow Bourbon. A constant favorite on the cupping table at Regalia HQ: we get the greatest range of florality and sweetness in the best of this particular cherry.
