Mateo's lot is the first of a slew of amazing Colombian coffees coming our way this quarter. His coffees stood out for the cleanliness and health: we get pear pastry, and grape jamminess throughout the cup.
Hailing from a powerful family originally from the departmental capital of Neiva, Mateo is one of three brothers, and the only one who works directly in agriculture. His older brother German was named CEO of the Colombian Coffee Grower's Federation (FNC), while his sister is one of Colombia's best known tv personalities.
